Earth is ever changing and scholars and science are busy trying to explain these

changes. One such change is called Global warming, which has been described as when the

earth's temperature rises. It happens when gases known as greenhouse, traps light and heat from

the sun in the atmosphere and raises the temperature. If there are too many greenhouse gasses in

the atmosphere, the earth will get too hot if too much heat is trapped. In the event of this

happening, living beings on earth would die as a result of the heat, because the heat would be too

strong and people could not endure it. Species grow and species die. This is the same for every

living thing around us; change is one of the most natural things in the world we need to grasp

this notion of change, embrace it and understand it and if humans can arise to the awareness of

global warming, we can come together to make a change.

According to Turk & Bensel, when the forests are cleared, mostly with fire, carbon that is

stored in the wood returns to the atmosphere, enhancing the greenhouse effect and global

warming. Turks & Bensel, (2011). Scientists, some celebrities, and everyday people are trying to

understand the nature of global warming. Controversy is widespread and there is intense debate

around the world on the subject. Since conclusions drawn could affect you profoundly, you may

want to know some basic facts about the topic of global warming.

Many scientists and researchers will argue that global warming is caused by humans

while others will argue that it will happen naturally, regardless of what we do to try to prevent it.

Many scientist also believe that climate change is real and that fossil fuel burning is helping

warm the Earth, a core group of objectors along with some activists and conservative groups and

have challenged that belief. "For many years, large, influential businesses and governments have

been against the idea of global warming. Many have poured a lot of resources into discrediting

what has generally been accepted for a long time as real. Now, the mainstream is generally

worried about climate change impacts and the discourse seems to have shifted accordingly. Some

businesses that once engaged in disinformation campaigns have even changed their opinions,

some even requesting governments for regulation and direction on this issue. However, a few

influential companies and organizations are still attempting to undermine climate change action

and concerns." (Shah, 2011).

Overpopulated human contribute to the destruction of the global resources that are

necessary for life, yet humans are also in harm's way, a collateral damage for the lifestyle, and

when a huge natural disaster happens, many will suffer. The reality is that we are a living

community of humans that share this planet with other species and we all live in one ecosystem.

It is evident that human population and consumption cannot be stopped, but in the long run the

human race may be doomed. What global warming will do, however, is strengthen all our

problems and speed up our demise.

Our planet is indeed becoming warmer due to the burning of fossil fuels, Deforestation,

the manufacturing over the road vehicles, airplanes and ships, and the change of land among

many other things. These actions have resulted in helping build the greenhouse effect, this plays

a major role in warming our planet. "There are human fingerprints on carbon overload. Global

warming is primarily a problem of too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This carbon

overload is caused mainly when we burn fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas or cut down and burn

forests. There are many heat-trapping gases (from methane to water vapor), but CO2 puts us at

the greatest risk of irreversible changes if it continues to accumulate unabated in the

atmosphere." (MacDonald, Page, & Pajic, 2010).

Global Warming is just what the name is "global warming" the globe is getting warmer.

We are polluting the world with fossil fuels and carbon dioxide that is not part of the natural

cycle. The earth is getting old, the sun is a star that may soon die and along with all creations.

When species are dying out simply because they cannot keep up with the rapid change in their

climates, there is a problem. Global warming is not healthy because of its effects on human life

and all living things; it has an effect on all sides of our lives: our life, our pleasure, our health,

our water, our breath and our favorite places. According to research, "Relying on fossil fuels

leads to unhealthy lifestyles, increasing our chances for getting sick and in some cases takes

years from our lives," U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in a

telecast briefing from her home state of Kansas. "As greenhouse gas emissions go down, so do

deaths from cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. This is not a small effect."(Borenstein,
