Everything is going green. This is the future and this is the only way to help us sustain longer in the earth. But how can we actually go green?

We are advised to save energy, save water, consume less gas, skip bottled water, recycle electronic gadgets, eat "green", etc. We have to start practising it. Yeah, start! I've been telling myself so many times to start. But being the "survivor" in today's world where electronic gadgets and devices such as laptops and mobile phones become indispansable to our life, going green is not an easy task.

Attended one green forum which discussing the issue of "go green in ict". CEOs from few large telecommunication organisations giving examples on how they try to contribute in this green issue. They all claimed they are concerned with the green issues and have devoted effort in saving energy by practising teleconferencing and developing green technology.

I was wondering how could they persuade the world to go green while these large organisations keep creating and coming out with new gadgets in a speed where consumers have to throw their existing gadget and buy a new one to keep themselves up-to-date? They are commonly having eco-responsibility goal but since when is this goal getting their attention? It's when the climate change happens and people starts talking about saving our environment. Hence organisations who have participated in any green campaign will build a better reputation for the company and they will be deemed as socially responsible. But in fact how many of these companies really aim to go green and how many of them are practising the so-called green technology? I doubt that.

Anyway, being part of the world, we must try to be a green consumer so that we and our earth could survive longer. So, please go green!
