What I have found about gun control there is several articles about it on the computer. The one
article is that I found was about the two teenagers that opened fire at Colorado High School,
killing 12 students and a teacher. After this shooting at Columbine there has been a number of
other shootings in schools and workplaces. With this happened it's led to an increase in numbers
of people calling for more strict gun control legislation.
Gun control is a term that describes the use of law to limit people's access to handguns,
shotguns, rifles, and other firearms. Know gun purchasers have to undergo background checks
for their criminals records, also they have to register their guns, and several other methods
before they can purchase a gun. In the United States gun control is a heated contested political
issues that can make or break the careers of the politicians. Also the use of firearms have
become a health hazard. Because more than 35,000 die each year from being shot. Also the
suicide rate is up due to guns getting in the hands of someone that's upset so they just end their
lives with using a firearm. With kids taking their lives the United States is higher here than
anywhere in the whole world it is mostly ages 14 and under that are dying in the United States.
According to the article at http//www.fag.org/health/topics/9/Gun-control.html.
How does the United States compare to the rest of the world? In the articles I have found there
are more guns in the United States than anywhere else. In the United States there are more than
200 million to 250 million that's a lot of weapons out for kids to get there hands hold of them.
No wonder gun control is major thing to have to deal with it needs to be under control to stop
little kids
