Currently, The United States of America is at war against 27 words that were written by James Madison in 1789. The Bill of Rights is known as the first 10 amendments of the Constitution of the United States. The Bill of Rights states the rights of its citizens. The Second Amendment states: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed". Many people have argued that "to keep and bear arms" is not very obvious. James Madison is not alive to clear up this misunderstanding that, for hundreds of years, has caused controversies. Some experts argue that, gun ownership laws should be relaxed because this country cannot guarantee the safety of its citizens. Others say that gun ownership laws should not be relaxed because it would increase the number of weapons and increase the availability of weapons for criminals. And thus, the debate over the right to bear arms continues, again.
Gun ownership is a hot topic in this country. The United States has almost always been a country know for its' lenient gun laws. The Constitution says that we can "bear arms", which in turn, makes it very complicated to make a simple change/addition of words. States can choose to make, 48 other states allow concealed weapons with some restrictions such as training. This shows citizens that 48 out of the 50 states permit concealed weapons. With 96% of the states approve to a certain point. At this time, the law states that you need to be 18 or older to purchase a gun. In addition to the age limit, you need to be mentally stable. The law does not make any extreme restrictions. An extreme restriction could be what type of neighborhood you live in. It could also be who your family members are, ex-con sibling, unstable family member, etc... There could even be a restriction when it comes to who you hang out with. More restrictions should be put in play because, like most people, if there is an age limit, you could just ask someone else, old enough, to get it for you.
Remorseless, criminals are going to carry concealed weapons even if the law states that they cannot be carried. A criminal is someone who has committed a crime or is committing a crime. They are usually, in most cases, bad people that do not follow the rules. Due to the fact that criminals carry anyways, it should not be up to someone else whether people can carry a weapon or not.
Removing gun ownership laws will not make it any easy for a crook to get a gun, but, it will make it much easier for people to defend ourselves.
The government cannot protect the general public from violence. Due to the large number of citizens in the United States, the government cannot promise safety. With the number of citizens increasing at an astronomical rate, the police are becoming overwhelmed. It gets more difficult for a cop to do his job every day. Police officers cannot continue
