ABSTRACT

This paper examines how the American Association of Advertising Agencies (a National trade association) is a leader in the marketing communications industry and how they work with the government, lobbying groups and other trade associations to offer Insight, Value and Service in the industry to their members and non-members. While members receive more support than non-members as in any service the overall offerings of the 4As is abundant. The 4As strive to improve and strengthen the advertising agency in the United States and be the principal source of information and advice about advertising.

In this era of vastly changing world of technology a firm if you will such as the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4As) could be key in the success of a company. Any one person interested in business whether it is owning a business, managing a business or simply being a part of a business should research this Agency.

Every business whether it be corporate or privately run by one owner requires the knowledge to begin a business and continued supportive knowledge to achieve the status of success in this endeavor. By achieving success one must advertise efficiently and the 4A's can provide a multitude of advice/counseling from simple knowledge of the industry to a student fresh out of high school or the highest level agency executive. This can be done with a passionate service member providing superb personal attention or via a virtual training program.

Let's discuss the fresh out of high school student pursuing a career in marketing and the highest level executive. The 4As have a career center to assist those just ready to enter the workforce get involved with agencies in the industry in hope of setting you up and sending you on your way to begin a career in the marketing industry and at the same time can offer the executive an array of products and services to enhance his business in the ways of Industry Research Services, Programs and peer groups, Government Advocacy, Professional development opportunities, Retirement savings plans; and Group Insurance plans.
