How many of you have had jobs?
I have had tons and today I am going to talk to you about todays' work force.
I am sure we all know that there are thousands of jobs out there, but it is just soo hard to either get or to keep them. That's a really big problem in the world today. The first problem is searching for a job. I can guarantee it is a lot harder than it seems. There are some that say it's not that difficult if you just go out and look, however, here lies the problem. There was a time when you would walk into a place of employment and ask if they are hiring, and they would say yes or no. Now since we have gotten so advanced, instead of going into a business to ask about a job, thousands will go online to either Jobs.com, jobfox.com, careerlink.com, and many more to look into jobs. The main issue with that is a lot of times, if there is a bug in your computer or something does not get sent correctly, they are not going to know you are even interested compared to walking in and asking face to face. Not only that but I am sure a lot of employers like first impressions. Then of course you have the jobs that contact you. However a lot of times, these jobs are ones that you just go, sit, and listen to a presentation about the job and have the presenter tell you in the first 3 sentences that they are only looking for 1 or 2 people, while you are sitting in a room of a dozen or more people. In my own opinion, that just sucks. This has happened so many times to me personally. Has anyone else ever had this happen? Another problem would be the way employees are treated, let me give you a little more detail on that.
If you are like me, you start out as a temp. I wasn't always a temp. I had a full time position. How many of you have been temporary Employees? Or as they call us now, temps? I don't like the word temp and I will explain a little bit as to why. As soon as you get into a position at any company and the full time workers realize you are a temporary employee, be prepared to do more than your job description. Why you ask? Because the word Temporary hits them immediately and the first thing that pops into their heads is...I can get this person to do all the things I hate to do and they have to do because they need this job. It sucks. Although, there is a bright note to this, you do get to gain experience in different areas. But other than that, the rest is pretty terrible. They work you any hours they want, they make you do more than you need to, and in some circumstances, they work you until you pass out. How many of you have heard about Amazon? I worked there once. Hated it. On that job, the money is not worth it. They work you until you can't walk. This a true experience. In this case, you are better off going with what I consider the 3rd problem, Unemployment.
For those of you who aren't aware of what Unemployment
