Group Assessment
In teams of 3 or 4 students, you are required to prepare a written report focusing on two companies within the same industry and market in Vietnam, but that follow differing strategies. The differing strategies can be related to marketing, positioning, distribution, sales, growth, or any other business level strategy that you think is a major part of their business, and that differs substantially from another company in the same industry and market in Vietnam. You should focus on only one strategy.
The objective is to develop a greater understanding of the challenges that companies face in regard to forming strategies to deal with competition in a particular Industry and market. Support your analysis with examples and research regarding the industry the businesses are engaged in and the market space it operates in.
Critically analyse what you learn in reference to theory presented in your lectures.
Note: You are required to use at least 2 peer-reviewed journal articles and 2 text books to support your analysis.
Late assessments will have 3 points deducted from the final raw mark (out of a maximum of 30 marks) for each day the assessment is late.
As entrepreneurs often have limited resources you are limited to using 15 pieces of single sided paper (total including references, cover page, statement of authorship, and appendices) and one staple (Loose pages will not be considered as part of the assessment). The report should be written in Arial font, Size 11, with 2.54cm margins, and with 1.5 spacing. Colour printing, perfumed paper, and plastic binders are not permitted and those using them will be penalised.
