The definition of motivation is, a process which by a person's effort are incentive directed and continuing toward achieve a goal (Robbins & Coulter, 2009). Since the aim is trying to establish a company of luxury hotel, It is indispensable to set up some regulations for improve motivation of employees.

First, there is training sessions for employees before they start to work in the hotel. Due to they are working in a Victorian-style luxury hotel, they need to learn some knowledge of Victorian age and apply it in their work. The training sessions not only bring customers high quality of experience but also bring benefits of the hotel such as reputation and more capital.

Secondly, it is necessary to set a monthly award for employees, for example, best employees of the month. The company can Link rewards with performance, discuss and elect who is the best employee in this month. The employees who get the award can earn bonus, extra vacation and have opportunity for promotion, also improve their motivation. Hence, according to the Hierarchy of Needs (Maslow's, ), the employees can get esteem needs, social needs and self actualisation.

Employee benefit is an important part for the process of motivation, too. It means that the company will pay various non-wage compensations provided to employees in addition to their normal wages or salaries like old age pension, travel allowance, healthy insurance and unemployment insurance. The company should give employees healthy and safety policy to let them work reassuring in the hotel, in other words, Employee benefit can bring employees security needs and social needs

It should be mentioned that giving employees a good working condition is a way to make them motivating like free provision of refreshment, too. A nice condition makes people comfortable, also increase employees' productiveness. It is a kind of motivator factor of employees which according to the Two Factor Theory (Herzberg, 1957)

Also, the company needs to let supervisors to find the different between individuals. They should monitor performance of employees and give feedback to them hence employees can find their fault or mistake and correct it.

Considering that the company may establish hotels in other countries, the way of motivating sometimes may be different with the way in UK. Therefore, goal setting may be more appropriate for individualistic or low uncertainty avoidance cultures, it is what the company should notice about.

In conclusion, motivation is necessary in business and the company should use multiple ways to encourage employees.
