PROPOSAL REGARDING CHARITY RUN 2015

Introduction

We are pleased to submit our proposal to organize the charity run for the year 2015. For the past 10 years, our company has held various corporate social responsibility activities such as flood donation events, fund raising events for old folks home and charity dinners. In 2013, our company was awarded the Notable Achievement in CSR Performance prize from the government. The CSR activities carried out by our company have gained recognition by the government and also the public.

Background, Purpose, Problems

The purpose of organizing the charity run is to raise funds to help the less fortunate. The issues of the Charity Run 2015 are to spread awareness among the public that there are many people out there who needs assistants. Besides that, it can help enhance our company’s positive image and also guarantee the shareholders that our company is committed to the CSR’s policy of the company.

Plans

  1. Details of the Charity Run

We considered that the Charity Run 2015 will be held at Bukit Jalil Kuala Lumpur. The registration for this run is started from 1st April 2015 until 30 April 2015. The charity run falls on 14 June 2015, Sunday. The charity run will start at 6.30 in the morning. The charity run will be opened for around 10,000 participants. The distance of the charity run is 7 Km. The starting line of the run is at the Bukit Jalil Stadium. The participants need to go through the Lebuhraya Bukit Jalil, then pass by the Kuala Lumpur Seremban Highway, then turn into Shah Alam Highway and lastly pass by  Jalan Mewah Cagar. There will be two water stations and two check points throughout the Charity Run 2015 which is located at Kuala Lumpur Seremban Highway and Jalan Mewah Cagar respectively.

  1. Program

We decided set up 5 booths on the field at Bukit Jalil on 16 August 2015 for the Physical Disable Center to display and sell their creative hand crafts such as necklaces, bracelets, brooches, carving, doll, and portrait. By doing this, it can gain concerns from the public that these centers need funding to carry out the operating expenses. This is a good opportunity for the people to discover their talents.

  1. Advertisement

We proposed a series of advertisements in order to deliver information about the charity run to the public. We are going to advertise the charity run information at The Star newspapers, company official website and at company’s Facebook page. The information regarding the charity run and participation form will be available at The Star. Moreover, we also use company website and Facebook page as the platforms to advertise the charity run. This is because it is more convenient for the people who tend to take part of the run. Furthermore, the company can communicate with the participants a few weeks before the event occurs via these social networking until the event day to start building excitement.

  1. Allocation of the Fund

We plan to allocate all the funds that are collected from the registration fees of the participants and allocate them to the physical disable centers without any deductions of the expenses used during the charity run. We estimated that we could collect the total funds of around RM200, 000 from estimated 10,000 participants. We will allocate the RM200, 000 collected to the four of disable physical centers including Rasa Sayang centers, Harmoni & Cinta centers, Hopefulness centers and Lovely Home. Each of the physical disabled centers will obtain RM50, 000 respectively.
