Google, a 9-year old global technology service provider based in Mountain View, California, is the number one Best Company to Work For in America. The question is why and how? Here's some of the reasons why Google is said to be the number one company to work for out of many; First, Google's Perks and Benefits and Career Development Programs. Who wouldn't want to be part of Google Inc., who wouldn't say this company isn't the best given such benefits and helpful career development programs? These are some of the reasons why people would really die to work for Google. Practically and financially saying, these days, we need to look for companies like Google for security reasons. Security reasons in terms of stability of our career and stability of our personal needs in the future. Google offers professional development opportunities be it individually or as a group/team. In Google, you just don't get in and just sit in your desk and do the job you have applied for. In Google, you grow, develop and enhance your skills overtime through their offered career development classes. Classes such as content development, business writing, executive speaking, delivering feedback, and management/leadership. They also offer free foreign language lessons, including French, Spanish, Japanese, and Mandarin. And secondly, Health and Medical services are company-insured and are on-site. Nowadays, having to know that your health and medical is insured by your company, practically saying, you'll save a lot of money. Given that these days all health and medical treatments are on the rage of hike. One example of Google's Health and Medical Services is having to have your wife avail of their Maternity leave for a year and six weeks with paid time off. Google's reason behind the long number of leave is to have the mother nurse and bond with her newborn which gives us another reason why Google is said to be number one; Google is family-oriented.

Another question asked is how Google became a two-year-in-a-row number one company besides all those mentioned earlier. I'd say Google has one of the best HR Departments; specifically, the Recruiting and Selection Department which leads us to ask another question; why? Google does recruiting seriously. Having to have 1300 resumes a day is like a thunderstorm after a calm day. Based on the read article: "Hiring the right people is one of the keys to Google's success. When the right people are brought onboard - with the skills, interest and fit with Google's culture - fewer of them leave. This means lower turnover and recruitment costs and greater knowledge retention in-house." As said, if you hire the right people with right KSAO's then rest assured the company's on the right track to success and with career development programs that are offered along with their already-instilled abilities and capabilities every worker grows professionally
